Nancy Dai is the Managing Director and Executive Director of the Harvard Center Shanghai and the Executive Director of the HBS Asia-Pacific Research Center. She has two decades of experience in business and management research across the Asia-Pacific region, especially in China.

From 2005 to 2009, she served as a Research Fellow and Manager at the Center of Organizational and People Excellence at the China Europe International Business School. She then joined the Harvard Center Shanghai in 2009 as a Senior Researcher. Between 2015 and 2018, she led case development for HBS in the Asia-Pacific region. From November 2018 to March 2020, she oversaw curriculum development for executive education programs and research at TencentX, Tencent’s learning platform for start-up founders and entrepreneurs.

She holds an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business in Canada, as well as an M.A. and B.A. in English Language &amp; Literature from Shanghai International Studies University. In 2020, she completed HBS’s General Management Program and became an alumna of HBS.
