Professor Shirley Lu Presents on Climate Solutions in Hong Kong

On January 7, 2026, the HBS Association of Hong Kong organized a discussion with HBS Professor Shirley Lu titled “Climate Solutions: An Opportunities Lens to Climate Change.” Professor Lu, a Hong Kong native, shared her pioneering research on how firms that provide climate solutions experience higher revenue growth and are valued as hedges against transition risk. Using AI to analyze more than nine million sentences from corporate filings, her research highlights both the opportunities and the accountability gaps in corporate climate action. Over 30 HBS alumni and guests in Hong Kong attended the discussion, engaging actively with Professor Lu’s insights and their relevance to the city’s broader decarbonization efforts.
