On August 15, Harvard Center Shanghai and the HBS Club of Shanghai co-hosted the 9th Annual HBS Women’s Leadership Forum. Centered on the theme “Judgment and Decision Making in an Era of Transformation,” the forum brought together more than 120 alumni and professionals from across industries.
Angela Crispi, Senior Lecturer and former Executive Dean for Administration at Harvard Business School, opened the forum with a video message reflecting on meaningful leadership and a fulfilling life amid constant change. In the keynote, Wei Zhang (MBA 1999, HBS Asia-Pacific Advisory Board Member) shared insights on how leadership develops over time, emphasizing the importance of staying grounded while continuing to learn and adapt. Professor Feng Zhu then moderated a panel, “Judgment, Decision-Making, and Growth in the AI Era,” exploring how AI is reshaping organizations and the enduring importance of human judgment, responsibility, and connection. The forum concluded with a conversation between two self-made women entrepreneurs, moderated by Nancy Dai, Executive Director of the HBS Asia-Pacific Research Center, on building businesses rooted in purpose and long-term value. The forum offered participants fresh perspectives on navigating change, deepening self-awareness, making thoughtful decisions, and leading with purpose, adaptability, and a long-term perspective.
